Beta 0.8.2.4 is now live.
Major changes
- You can now kick people from beta rooms by typing /kick username where username is the user you want to kick.
- The beta client is no longer compatible with the normal client. Thus only beta rooms can be played using it. You can however still play your old saved levels with everybody at http://everybodyedits.com
- You can now reset your beta world by typing the command /reset into the chat. Real UI will come later!
Minor changes
- Fixed bug that resulted in players getting out of sync
- Added highlighting to messages with your name in it in the chat.
- You can now quickly type usernames by typing in the first few letters of the username and pressing TAB
I expect that it will be at-least a few months before the Beta and Normal clients are compatible again. I know this is no fun, but it’s very needed to be able to test new features etc.

Could you please fix all the incompatiblity? (I know thats not how its spelled) First of all the Beta.everybodyedits not being able to go on non beta worlds. That better be because you’re making a AWESOME update, if your not, I’M GONNA BE MAD. (Yes I know you don’t care) Second of all (this was the biggest problem BEFORE the beta only being able to go on beta worlds and now is even bigger) we can’t have the big sidebar chat, WE WANT IT. Its cool because then we can see all the people in the room and chat with them even if we don’t know where they are. If you DO make it so that beta can only go onto beta worlds (You already have) then at least make a sidebar chat for Pro (Like beta except a little bit less stuff). If you DO do all that I must be a god or have hypnotizing powers.

On the regular version, I can play for about 50 seconds and then it says “Please reload your browser. This game has been updated, please reload your browser to play the newest version.” I keep refreshing, but it doesn’t stop! Anyone else getting this?

I like the beta open worlds there are less trolls cause people can recognize them by their name which means they will know that that person trolled and wont give the code to them on their level which is why there are no trolls which I LIKE!
The reason it looks like that is cause it’s easy for anyone to pretend to be him.
Second, there is nothing wrong with wpe pro, it’s how to use ee animator, mostly. There is nothing wrong with the EE animator(except, perhaps, for Chris’ server), all it can do is save maps, or put pictures in EE. There isn’t much wrong with Cheat Engine, it’s mostly just used to use the all black block, it’s probably how the guy that hacked to look like a mod got it, but that’s not cheat engine’s fault. The only real bad thing is EE Atacker, it’s made just to get the key(really, it’s your fault for having such a stupid key).
Meerly from an outsider’s perspective, ‘majoralex’ sounds like an idiot with some outstanding rage at ‘willard b’. Really, dude, grow up.
Yeah, Alot of people on everyobdyedoits.com and beta want to change there usernames so i hope someday you would give a interface to change our usernames 🙂

The new physics in the game hurts my eyes and very painful to adapt to. I liked E.E better where beta and non-beta worlds were together. But seriously, the physics hurts!
Hey Chris there is a bug when you click on most popular saved levels and then click on a level it takes you to the log in thing the you log in and then it takes you to the lobby.
Hey Chris can you pleaze make it so that the saved levels that we made that are non-beta become our beta levels because me and probably alot of other people put lots of work into our non-beta levels and now no-one plays them because they are non-beta worlds and you’ve changed the system so we can only play beta worlds.
This will happen sometime end of january.

hey i really like everybody edits and its a great game but i am having a problem with my non beta world, i sign in on my account and click my world then a couple of seconds later it sais that i need to reload my browser i have reloaded it every time and it still will not let me on my world what should i do?

How do you get gems?
Either by paying with PayPal or using SuperRewards (in lobby, click get gems, and make your choice there).
Ok, for all of those who don’t wish to pay with gems, you can get exactly 24 energy per hour, this only applies if you are in the lobby (not sure about playing a game for it to increase as you play).
Anyway, to get the working smiley, you’ll need your initial 100 energy, it will take you about 1000 minutes to get it (or over 2 days, assuming you stay at the lobby for at least 12 hours per day)
To get the Christmas edition, you’ll need your initial 100 energy, it will take you about 2250 minutes to get it (or over 3 days, assuming you stay at the lobby for at least 12 hours per day)
To get the ninja smiley, you’ll need your initial 100 energy, it will take you about 4750 minutes to get it (or at least 7 days, assuming you stay at the lobby for at least 12 hours per day), so to get all of these, it’ll take you about two weeks.
*NOTE* My math may not be accurate, do not rely on it or blame me, just trying to help, if Chris makes any changes to how long you get energy or raise the cost, then all of my findings will be inaccurate.

ok, I noticed every 2min and 30 sec, you get one energy.
Now if you did not use your energy yet you should have 100 energy. Now this plan is to work on one smiley only. Since 2min and 30sec is 60sec * 2 + 30 = 150sec, then 150sec/60 will equal 2.5 min. x will be the variable over minutes. Since energy goes up by one each 2.5 minutes, we want the reciprocal (when x is 2.5, y =1, so it is: y = (1/2.5)x. That is the equation if you have zero energy and plan to use it on a smiley with v amount of energy. Then have another equation, y = v. Then you find the intercept of the two lines. Since y is currently in minutes, divide the amount by 60 to get hours. Then divide it by 24 for the amount of days to get the amount of days. But that method is hard because you have to be in ee for a full day (24 hrs). So instead I divide by 12, that means you play for at least 12 full hours, and boom you got your number. But like I said b4, my math may not be accurate, you got a better one?
Edit: You do not to be online at all, it’ll increase by itself, so just half all of the days (or increase the # of minutes by 100.

no to both. energy is accumulated automatically over time (makes you wonder what the point is – all you have to do to get the smilies is log in every couple hours)

The energy system is meant as an XP system. Basically it rewards people who plays everybody edits a lot.
You can play levels as well, you still get them. 🙂

You don’t want people to now you use WPE pro.
WPE pro has a virus on it.
That’s why it can damage the server.
WPE Pro appears as a false positive in antivirus programs (Most “hacking” programs do.), and all it does is send packets to the server, which you do when you play normally anyways. It’s just a way to automate the packet sending. It doesn’t do any damage to the server.

Technically the first three are free, it just takes a few days to get them, like a normal update, but the fourth will cost you a lot (either money or time)…
