About an hour ago I released a small update to Everybody Edits which turns off rendering of decorations on the minimap. The reason is that it simply looks nicer when the background overwrites the items.

Well, you have just ruined my worlds again. 😦
And also we lost a lot of minimap colors. I think it would be better if you would first create a poll for these stuff…
I am a strong believer in taking hard choices. People hate chance and won’t accept them, even if they are for the better. The background blocks now allow for minimap colors on movable areas thus shading of decorations are just a rather annoying legacy.

Make normal blocks invisible too!
don’t let people talk you into re-drawing decorations on the map because their art is “ruined”.
Decorations as background art lead to terrible looking playscreens. And now that there are real backgroundblocks it isnt needed anyway.

The Problem is that when you make some changes, we have to update our worlds, that is not that easy. For us, this seems like a waste of time having to spend our time fixing our worlds instead of creating our new level. I do understand the reason you did that, but we cant be redoing many parts of our worlds over and over. This makes me loose interest creating new worlds. We wont be creating new worlds that may get ruined soon. I hope this is the last time it’s happening.

hey about the backgraounds can you plz make it so that the backround blocks that are like the actuall blocks appear as the same color on the minimap cuz i hate it when it looks like i have a bunch of darker colored lines going through the ground. just asking not forcing you to or anything. xD and keep up the great work on your game.
Ok, and where can I download it?
Please bring the minimap back, my reason:
1) They have minimap render the background doesn’t have;
2) It ruined TONS and then i really mean TONS of worlds (in fact ALL of my own);
3) JONESIE (if i’m right?) made a “poll” room in E.E. where over 85% voted to get the decorations minimap render back.
I do understand you think it’s good and i do appreciate it but as seperh said: “This makes me loose interest creating new worlds. We wont be creating new worlds that may get ruined soon. I hope this is the last time it’s happening.”
Only then I hope one other thing: That you’ll bring back our decorations background.
