Beta 0.8.2.1 is live!

Minor Changes

  • Texts in chat bubbles are now centered.
  • Chat bubbles now stay visible for 15 secounds instead of 10.
  • Holding down the shift key will now result in names and chat being shown while moving
  • Fullscreen now uses bitmap smoothing (things look better in fullscreen)
  • New title screen showing off the new features

  5. Hello, Chris. I got beta, and I love chat. But one time, I saw someone with a devil smiley say ‘RAINBOW POWERS, ACTIVATE!’ and then the brick next to him started changing to a bunch of different colors. I know how to do 2 colors, but this was many. HOW DO YOU DO THAT?!?

    Btw, the new fullscreen works for me. But i can’t click on anything or move left or right with wasd. I can only jump now. Then doesn’t G works anymore. It worked before you added this one..

      • I found a bug (that I realy hope you don’t fix). When in the downloaded vrsion of EE, the anti-hack doesn’t work. Thus alowing the player to us things like Cheat engine and WPE Pro.
        But i havent seen any hacks that can hurt the game, me myself being a middle levle hacker.
        Please chris don’t fix it,or be mad at me and all others like me for that matter.
        Restating that most of us use thus hacks for good purpases, like EX crew.

        Chris, it’d be cool if you could have on a lvl that you put ur name and it automatically puts a circle that if you leave it turns red meaning OFF. Or if you have had the code 2 a lvl but it kicks u out and you don’t know what the code is to it so your screwed if you don’t remember ur own code…

    How about a feature in the game where if you bump into another person, they jolt to the left or right!

    The creator of the level can control the bumping on and off, as well an the sensitivity.

    I was buying gems with my mobile phone, I had to buy 60 to have a beta count, I used 12$ by the mobile first, that says that 2$ are to buy 10 gems, and now it is saying that I already have to buy 10 gems, and the mobile first disappeard of the ways to pay with mobile. What should I do?

    • The system awards the points by itself. Also I actually think you just got them. If not, write me at chris at everybodyedits dot com and I shall look into if there is an error with the Gems provider.

    Make the “key” field smaller if you play a world and make the chat on the same row as the chat.
    The key field doesnt have to be that large 😛 keys are likely 3-6 chars long.

    Beta can talk unlimited and forever.

    These are really needed for chat to work as it should. So great job on this update.

    The only thing really needed now is a way to look at chat bubbles behind yours and other peoples. Not really sure how that would even work.. Same with the names, they layer on top of each other. Maybe clicking on a chat bubble puts it in a layer behind all the other chat bubbles. That would possibly fix that.

    Thanks for the great updates though. Keep it up.

    Abtonyer- no, us betas need to test this feature so when you guys get it, you don’t have to whine about how buggy it is. Because you guys will probably cry to chris about how buggy it is, and then you guys will finally learn your fucking lesson about how beta is important you n00bs.

  62. Chris, grim news… As far as beta has gone, betas are starting to SEGREGATE, and even HARASS nonbetas. And I have tryed talking to
    some betas in chat levles about it, to no prevale. Pleas can you hurry with the chat bugs and give chat to the rest of the EE public, so nonbetas can at least talk back and say what they realy think to the bullying betas (not going to mention names). IE hurry up and add chat to public so the nonbetas can fight back.

    the fact the you may not ever read this)and hear are the things that have to come in order:

    1.) names for everyone

    2.) player banning/kicks

    3.)a different way of giveing people the code

    4.)player ranks

    a.)king

    b.)op

    c.)advbuilder

    d.)builder

    e.)guest

    f.)banned

    2.)player banning/kicks- ok i think that moderators can do the kick but ban would require names so that the players cant come back.

    3.) a different way of giveing people the code- i was thinking about holding ctrl and clicking

    people and haveing a screen pop up with what you want them to be. like clicking someone

    named fred and haveing a screen pop up saying fred will naw be an op,adv

    builder,builder,guest,banned (the up side about this is if you come back to the lvl you will

    still have the code)

    4.)what a player can do with his player rank:

    a.)king(level maker,everything)

    b.)op- able to demote people like guest to builder. or back words, from builder to guest,

    able to fly place blocks anywhere(only think thay cant do is make any people in to an op)

    c.)adv builder- build any where(no fly)

    d.)builder-build in a certan area picked by king(build in a certan area picked by king-

    background blocks only seen by builders and kings the king places the background

    blocks and the builder can only build on them. so lets say i make a 4 by 4 square

    the builder may fill it in any way he wants)(this will be good if he was promoted because of

    his art)(no fly)

    e.)guest- any player with out the code

    f.)banned people- the people who cant enter a lvl(there should be a certan butan to tell whos all banned)

    I have an idea for a future update:
    A shortcut (say, alt-click or something) that lets you automatically select a brick TYPE that has already been laid down (not the brick itself). Of course, a non-beta user would not be able to select a beta block. I think this would help, especially for people who work together to create levels. Or maybe not; maybe it will only cause problems, but it’s just a suggestion that I’m throwing out there.

    “Betas” pay to play the beta of EE also. Just because you can’t play it because you can’t buy it doesn’t mean you can curse all over the comments section of a blog post. Comments won’t get you a response from Chris, nor will they get him to do anything. Also, anyone can come and look at this page. For all we know, those people could be 10-years-old.

Of course, you’re still paying for a flash game, but at least it’s some kind of entertainment on a boring day where the weather is dull and there’s nothing to do. Nothing is free, because at some point if you’re running a popular game with frequent updates it’s going to cost quite a bit of money.

Hey chris I really want a brick in everybody edits that only the creator can delete like if you are the creator and someone has the code if they start to wreck you get the brick and if the pirson is a ghost you put the bricks around him and he cant get out even if he’s a ghost so I would like that please.
