New Game Interface Part 2

I finally had a bit of time to start outlining the new interface. So with no further explanation here are some screenshots.

The basic interface for the owner of a room:

The godmode and minimap buttons can both be toggled, the button above shows the toggled state.

Clicking the you smiley:

Clicking the more link besides Level Bricks

The numbers on a brick shows it’s hotkey, to change the brick simply drag it to where you want it in the quick bar. The left most brick will always be the eraser which can be quickly accessed by holding shift. Releasing shift swaps the selection back to what you had before.

Interface for a none owner with edit rights

Guest Player

Both the smiley popup and the bricks popup will resize depending on how much content there is. IE if you have 200 smilies the box will grow and in the brick screenshot the popup is much larger than it should be.

To make the border between the user interface and the world more noticeable I also added a small shadow.

  2. Haven tried it yet but don’t you think the expansion menu is a little large?
    I absolutely LOVE the new crowns though 🙂 Keep this amazing work up!

      yea we do need more key blocks and on ee beta in the things that the ee crew are suposed to be working on an why isent chat up in the bulits + why didnt chris inclued the text blocks in the new interface ++ he also didnt inclued chat in the nnterface = the interface is flawd… it just wont work chris sorry 😦

        Those features weren’t there because they have not been created yet- there will no doubt be some changes as new features come to fruition.

      umm… duuhu, 4,000 plays per day on avrage, the ee server is under almost constant stress unless you play durung the night (if you live in the east coast of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA) so thats mostly what i do :}

      oh c’mon chear up its not that bad, besides its worth the wait… or you could get beta now you dont need facebook to pay. just an e-mail adress and pay-pall even if you do use fouren money pay-pall converts it… and now beta is just $9.95 i know right lower than it was

        i halped player i.o to upgreade(1st updata) Everybody Edits.then,player i.o sew this game is popular,and they whanted to make serius cash from it(and they did).I emaild them to upgreade Everybody Edits first,im like the owner of the new virision. joke =)

      No,it’s just a guy trying to get Chris to make EE what he wants it to be and give him free beta rights.He might of had a shot if he had had correct grammar and capitalization. XD

    I don’t like the button god, it just take such a much place for nothing. When you are god, you can see it. No need with a button. G is enough and easy too use. Same with minimap, When it is activated, you will see it.

    I have a good idea :).. About bricks say, if you stand on a brick for longer than two seconds. It will disappear.Then it will respawn after about 10 seconds… So kind of like fragile bricks :)?

      The problem with that is the enourmous amount of server space that would take up. I’d imagine it’s already taking up a lot without beta saved worlds, and with them it must be higher. And if you want to see chat that would take up some more… The point is, if you want you want to keep this game running- it’s better if you don’t.

        What about cookies? Each place could save a cookie on your computer, updating whenever save is clicked, and Chris could add a load button in lobby, select from up to 5 save files in lobby, whilst saving server space for future updates, players and chat, most games save using cookies so quite a few gamers are ‘cookie-aware’, allowing flash player to use unlimited space, also, music (if added) should be streamed straight to players, not using the server (also allowing players to pick music without worrying about lag) the mute button should bring up a menu, allowing you to shut off laggy coins in coin-happy levels, but keep the music, and vice-versa.         trust me when chris gets the money he will upgrade the server to make it big enough to handle the stress of 3,000+ plays a day and if he has left over money after that he _might_ add more memory space for the beta players to have maby 2 or 3 saved worlds but he _might_ not

    i have been playing thisgame for a long time now, and im happy and sad. i have no idea wher the F*** the coin button is, and on the guestbar thingy, there is no faces! 😦 but the crowns are epic! if me and my friend are making a level I can have a crown and he can have a crown and if sombody finishes the level hey can also have a crown!!! any ways… i am super exited about god mode switch! 😀 🙂

    • Reading up just noticed my opinion has already been shared xD But tbh the full screen mode kinda blows… It makes the game look crap (in terms of quality).. Wouldn’t it be better by instead of stretching the already visible in normal mode, but to display MORE Bricks slightly larger proportion in full screen?

      When I first heard full screen I assumed I was going to be able to see more bricks on the screen, not what I already have just… stretched

    now a block idea it would be great with just a brick and a wall but hwen u klick on the block there should be a color panel hwere u could chose presise the block coler u want
    so 2 tabs: 1. new color 2.saved color

  37. my idea for the godmode button is to make it small and simple for instance write god horizontally in a very narrow button to conserve space or like I saw in someone’s interface concept, clicking your smiley without the more menu up.

    It’s not letting me long on to beta. I purchased beta, I know I did because I’ve been using it for a while. but whenever I click the login with facebook link it takes me to -File not Found- I checked and it IS there. And when I try to login to beta manually it tells me to buy beta. Please tell me what to do!

    about the full skreen i think its good already because sometimes u want to hide the lvl pass in a box bu if the full screen shows more i will need to make the box with the pass bigger so no one just can see it
